LOS ANGELES 07/20/2023 — Skybound announced today that Void Rivals #2, the massively anticipated follow up to the blockbuster debut issue of the new comic book series, sold out at the distributor level on the same day it hit comic book shops and will return with a second printing.

Additionally, the second printing of Void Rivals #1 has sold out in comic books shops and will return with a third printing.

From the iconic Oblivion Song team of Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead) and Lorenzo De Felici (Kroma), along with colorist Matheus Lopes (Step by Bloody Step) and letterer Rus Wooton (Fire Power), both new Void Rivals printings will be available on August 16, 2023, the same day Void Rivals #3 arrives in comic book shops.

Void Rivals #1 launched the all-new shared Energon Universe with the surprise first appearance of iconic Transformers character Jetfire. The stealth launch introduced the historic new collaboration between Hasbro, a toy and game company, and Skybound, with Transformers and G.I. Joe comics finding a new home with the publisher.

The connections to Transformers lore continued in Void Rivals #2, with the fan favorite Skuxxoid making their Energon Universe debut and setting the stage for more exciting debuts to come.

Issue #1 will return with an all-new third printing variant cover drawn by Ryan Barry & Mike Spicer. Issue #2 will return with a brand-new second printing variant cover drawn by Jason Howard.

In Void Rivals, war rages around the Sacred Ring, where the last remnants of two worlds have collapsed around a black hole in a never-ending war. However, when pilot Darak and his rival Solila both crash on a desolate planet, these two enemies must find a way to escape together. But are they alone on this strange planet?
