Absolute Batman is taking a break, and the December absence of DC’s biggest-selling comic could mean nearly half a million fewer copies moving through the direct market. Jace breaks down the unusual schedule through February and what the missing December issue could mean for comic shops. Plus, Joshua Williamson and Bruno Redondo are taking Batman back to his early days with the Justice League in Batman: Justice Year, while Ghost Machine is finally bringing Geiger and Redcoat together for 2027’s Radioactive Revolution. There’s also a huge batch of New York Comic Con news, BAD IDEA’s next wave of projects, new announcements from Ignition Press, sellouts from Image and Skybound, Vampire on Aisle 6, the Danger Girl Artist’s Edition, Deicidium: Returned, Victoria Jaguar, Kill All Immortals III and the first look at the upcoming Something Is Killing the Children trading card game. Then Jace looks at nine September 30 releases he thinks could hit next week’s bestseller chart, counts down the Prana Top 10 for September 23, checks his previous What Hit predictions and closes with 30 comics approaching Final Order Cutoff.
